Happy Spring! March Madness begins...

1. Continue to actively read the memoir that you chose, and complete the open-ended/reflection questions (packet). Keep in mind the characteristics of a memoir. I hope that you are enjoying your choice! Please bring your memoir book with you to class. Have about 3/4 done for 3/24...try!

2. Over the next few days, we will be presenting the "Impact of the Written Word" PowerPts/Prezis that you created. Nice job! Enjoy.

3. See below for the Memoir packet to work on and bring with you over the next week or so...just in case you misplace it.

Post #11 - Ayn Rand Lexicon and Anthem

YAY!! Your final Post! - Maybe. :) Hopefully you have all enjoyed your extra days off (well, most of you) and have finished up Anthem. Please go to the Ayn Rand Institute link (to the left), click into the Ayn Rand Multimedia Library, peruse, and visit the Ayn Rand Lexicon (do you think it will be similar to your own Teenspeak Lexicons that you created??!). Read about the lexicon, pick any letter (they are along the top) to search for a topic, go there, and read any particular bit of Rand's philosophy/discussion/personal opinion of that topic. Based on your reading of Anthem (or Fountainhead, or any other Rand work), does it surprise you that Rand feels this way about this particular topic? Explain, using specific references to Anthem and the excerpt from the lexicon. 1 - 2 paragraphs, 15 pts., due by 6/5
