Happy Spring! March Madness begins...

1. Continue to actively read the memoir that you chose, and complete the open-ended/reflection questions (packet). Keep in mind the characteristics of a memoir. I hope that you are enjoying your choice! Please bring your memoir book with you to class. Have about 3/4 done for 3/24...try!

2. Over the next few days, we will be presenting the "Impact of the Written Word" PowerPts/Prezis that you created. Nice job! Enjoy.

3. See below for the Memoir packet to work on and bring with you over the next week or so...just in case you misplace it.

Continue to read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and converse with Mr. Kesey. Comment, question, argue, discuss!! Use post-its or paper! Read actively!! Be through page 101 for Wednesday, Sept. 17th; be through 122 for Monday, Sept. 22nd. Check out the link below - peruse info about Kesey; click on the links within the site - the Merry Pranksters, The Beat Culture, the 1960s...you might also want to Google mental institutions in the 1950s.

Mrs.White I'm wondering about the assignment. How do I go about conversing with dead people? I would like to know the magic you use to converse with the dead.
